An ALL-BIPOC King Show in the Bay
This drag show and collective started as a dream, coming out of a desire to showcase more BIPOC & inclusive drag, especially in the drag king sphere, which is already a marginalized group in the drag & performance art world. ROYALES debuted at El Rio in February 2023.
ROYALES Calendar Project
Each year, we produce a drag king calendar which includes the faces of at least 12 different BIPOC drag kings. This fundraiser funds our general show as well as our Accessibility Fund, which provides additional stipends for performers with disabilities & those traveling from out-of-town. Our first year, thanks to the support of the community, we were able to raise $571 to support performers with disabilities and those traveling from long distances to perform with us. Our second year, we introduced signed calendar packages and gold packages that allow for free admission to shows for an entire year.
We are now fundraising with our 2026 calendar! Calendars are still available. Place your order here.
